Windows 10: Why does Windows 10 update ALL THE TIME?

Hello everyone,,

Several times a week, Windows 10 will install massive updates. These will eat up background resources and make using the computer impossible.

I set my wi-fi to metered on my laptop to avoid the problem there (otherwise, it reduces my 10 hour battery life to 2 hours due to constantly overworking the system). But I can't do that on my wired gaming computer. And because I don't have an SSD, my performance gets absolutely ****ed during every update (which is like 2-3 times a week).

Is it really necessary to roll out a multi-GB update every few days? There really needs to be a way to opt out of these.

I'm talking about the "Windows Update" process that runs in the background on start-up and that can't be postponed.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
