Windows 10: Why does Windows 11 disconnect USB speaker?

I bought 2 Asus laptops, Zenbook and Vivobook, with Windows 11, but Vivobook has Copilot on it which might or might not be relevant. The problem is that while I have no issues with the Zenbook, the Vivobook keeps randomly disconnecting my USB speaker for no apparent reason, forcing it to switch into a Bluetooh mode, which I don't want. Any help please?

Bluetooth Speakers disconnect when trying to play sounds

I forgot to mention that it only occurs with the Laptop referred to above. I am certain that this problem is software related, i.e. the Windows 11 framework. I strongly suggest to patch it, as the following also applies:

- the speaker works perfectly with other hardware, incl. Apple/Android cellphones and laptops with Windows 10 OS

- Windows 11 OS recognises the speaker as a screen (why though? It is just a speaker.) as such icon is displayed in the devices list once connection is established (be reminded that the laptop only disconnects when trying to actually USE the speaker as a peripheral device, see above)

- other Bluetooth devices work perfectly with the laptop, i.e. bluetooth headsets

 

Bluetooth Sony Speaker disconnects randomly

Hello,

I've got a Sony SRR-XB13 bluetooth speaker and it disconnects from time to time but it does not properly disconnects as when I go and look up in settings under the bluetooth devices it still appears connected although the bluetooth led on the speaker indicates otherwise. I can connect and disconnect the speaker to my phone without any problems but trying to make it connect again to my laptop is just a big hassle of shutting the speaker down, removing from devices, adding it back to devices just to see that the led on the speaker still blinks as it is not connected.

I recently did a fresh Windows 11 install coming from a dev version of Windows 11 where I didn't encounter this problem even once. Any suggestions, tips and tricks?

I am on Windows 11 Education 22000.376 and I think all my drivers should be a'ight. Thanks in advance!

I suggest you to Change the USB power management settings and check.

  Double-click the type USB to change power management settings.

  Right-click the specific device you want, and then click
