Windows 10: Why does windows always boot up into a thin line of pixels?

Recently windows has started to bug out in the form of my monitor turning black for a couple seconds while running intensive programs and then proceeding to crash the entire pc or turn back on again. Sometimes the fans go at full speed during a crash, sometimes they don’t spin at all. Task manager always shows 100% CPU utilisation with a high amount of handles 120,000, however other apps such as NZXT can show barely any utilisation. The motherboard still loads up fine though as I can enter it’s BIOS. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening?

Yes I've tried both suggested steps. Unfortunatly the problem is still there. It doesn't happen as often as before, more like 50/50. But when the pixel line is there, my pc does not boot up anymore. First when I waited for a while, it did boot up. But
now it's just a black screen and nothing happens.

I still get the pixel line on startup occasionally. When I get it, I let windows ''finish'' things and it boots up normal after some time. But also sometimes it does nothing & I have to reset my pc in order to start.

So I don;t think it's windows finishing stuff in the background, because it's like 7/10 times it's booting up with the pixel line as seen in the screenshot. Please let me know if there are other options.

 

GPU-Z what command line parameter ?

Suggestion: /? (-?) and /help (-help) command-line arguments to show a list of all possible arguments in a small window. *Smile
