    Why does Windows constantly extend or duplicate to a screen I told it to ignore?


    I have two external monitors. Those monitors are connected to two docks. I have four possible laptops that can be connected to those docks at any time. Up to a month or so ago, I had this laptop set to not use the monitors connected to the dock. It had no problem remembering this. I could disconnect it from the dock and reconnect it and it would know "I don't use that monitor". For whatever reason, MS appears to have broken this in an update as now the laptop will randomly decide "hey, I want to connect to this monitor I was told not to use" and will connect to it.
