Why does Windows Explorer and Service Host: Connected Device use 80% of my memory?

I've tried all the things I could possibly think of. Even searched it up online but none of these fixed it permanently. I just recently installed a new SSD and tried to copy my files from my local disk to my new SSD which I believe is the reason but I don't know how to fix. Please help my PC keeps crashing every time I try to play games or do work.System Information:CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 2.90 GHzMemory: 16GBGPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super

  2. Browser /connection security, hosts file and DNS service

You're saying that Open DNS(and other services like it) house their own list of known 'bad' sites, and by using their DNS servers, it will filter out sites based on that list?

Would you believe I was already using Open DNS servers.
This means the hosts file is moot?

And furthering that, if there's any bespoke sites I want to manually add, I could do it through my router directly.

Thus I can empty my local hosts file and turn my DNS service back on?

Service Host: Local Service consuming all availible physical memory at login

I have a laptop with 8.0 Gb of memory, but I have noticed after login while the desktop is loading up all the way the SVCHOST.exe entry for Local Service consumes almost all my memory available, growing to 4Gb in size. but after everything settles down,
and everything is loaded up (startup programs, etc.) the size used by the process shrinks down to around 11.0 Mb. I have watched it during this activity and 7.9 Gb gets consumed in total before it starts to settle down. normal amount of memory consumed by
the system (at idle on the desktop) is around 3.2 Gb with 4.6Gb available. Is it normal for so much memory to be consumed after logging into windows?

    Diagnostic Service Host

    Function Discovery Provider Host
