Windows 10: Why does Windows keep disabling the McAfee app with every update?

I have Windows 10 Home on my laptop and Windows 10 Professional on my desktop. On my laptop with Windows 10 Home, every single time Windows installs an update, the McAfee app becomes unresponsive and then has to be completely uninstalled and reinstalled. This only happens with my Windows 10 Home computer but not with my Windows 10 Professional computer. It happens Every. Single. Time. there is a Windows update - which, of course, is often. It only takes effect after the forced Restart. Schwoops! the McAfee app no longer responds. Parts of it are still running in the background according to Tas

Windows Defender Update in disabled mode when McAfee is installed

We have McAfee as an Enterprise solution for AV and DLP. We understand when McAfee is installed Windows Defender gets disabled automatically. Day in and out our SOC team sends notification to update Windows Defender though its disabled. I tried and tried with many options for the update but its not possible to install Defender updates in disabled mode. Kindly suggest if there is any way to update it either by script or any other way. Thanks DK

Yes, the McAfee app is completely up to date. And I have used the Feedback Hub app, as you suggested. I'll just have to hope that Microsoft really wants to do something about it. Several other people have told me that they have the same problem - some with McAfee being disabled and some with Norton being disabled. The general conclusion is that Microsoft is trying to get people to just abandon these other, much better, security apps and just used Windows Defender. That's probably jumping to a wrong conclusion - but when there's such a consistent pattern, month after month, I don't think it's unreasonable for people to start thinking the worst.
