Windows 10: Why does Windows Photos skip back to a previously viewed photo?

The Windows 10 Photo app sometimes skips back to a previously viewed photo when I'm flipping through my photos using the arrows on my keyboard. It seems to happen regardless of which way I'm flipping through them, whether it's using the right arrow to move forward or the left arrow to move back. A couple of times that has caused me to accidentally delete the wrong photo. I'm not sure if it happens only when I'm using the keyboard arrows as opposed to clicking on the arrow icons in the app because I almost always use the arrows on my keyboard.

I just use the Photos app for a quick view, otherwise I use Adobe Lightroom to view and edit photos.
