Windows 10: Why does Windows run so poorly?

    Why does Windows run so poorly?


    I just reinstalled windows on my computer since my SSD crashed. For now it's on an HDD and my god is this running horribly. It takes at least 5 minutes to boot up and then for another 5 my right click loads. I'm not sure if this is the harddrive but I doubt it considering windows has issues ALL THE TIME. It shouldn't require a million Google searches and hours of fixing just to run the basics in this OS. It's so poorly optimized it's not even funny. I sure hope Windows 11 runs more like Linux or Mac because I'm beginning to lose my mind troubleshooting this every single day. Get it together Mi

    windows 8.1 64bit running poorly

    Clean up poorly running computer before the upgrade?


    In addition to all of the clean up that you do with these other tools, I would suggest that you download Windows Repair from www.tweaking.com and run this utility twice in safe mode and run each step in the program twice. This may fixe a number of errors that have crept in or have been caused by malware, viruses, etc. that don't get fixed by the other tools.

    You can also install CCleaner to clean up the junk as well.

    Both of the above programs are free.

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
