My MS account has been hacked so your security is not very good. I can see the hacker is changing passwords all over places in my computer like Roku, Ebay, Etsy, Amazon and more at least those companies ask if I was making this change and allow me to say NO. I was able to get into my MS account with a different computer I had face recognition set up on but when I try to make MY email back to primary and not the hackers email, Microsoft blocks me and says you must let the hacker screw up your stuff for a week before you can change the primary and remove the hackers email. This makes me feel lik

  2. Microsoft Account: Hacker changed security email address

Hi, they removed the phone number I had linked with my account. Any time I try to make any changes to the security settings, including adding 2 step authentication, I get the "Verify your account" message where it wants to send me a security code but obviously
now this is linked to the hackers email address so I cant get any further!

    Thanks

  3. Hacker sent me an email of all my passwords and claims to leak video of me.

Hello Finn. I'm Greg, here to help you with this.

It sounds like an old scam where hacker claims to have gotten control of PC to take compromising videos while visiting X rated sites, may have enough information to trick you into believing he can do this but never proves to be the case.

To be sure change all of your passwords to extra strong ones, possibly change WIndows to two-factor authentication:

    https://www.windowscentral.com/how-set-two-step...

Reset your router and increase the Security with stronger password, Wifi key, and other security optimizations here:

https://www.lifewire.com/resetting-a-home-netwo... (Your model router may have more specific instructions online)

    http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/ultim...

    https://www.consumerreports.org/digital-securit...

Then I would forward the scam email to your country's cyber security authority which you can find via Google.

Feel free to ask back any questions. Based on the detailed results you post back, I will have other suggestions if necessary.

Hackers Ready to Strike at Windows Vista Security

Lets hope that a years worth of security updates will have helped it with sidetracking the hackers for a certain amount of time.

And whoever said that as more people migrate to Vista that the other previous OS's are more secure thats a flat out lie in fact whenever I download an update on my lappy it is usually also for a vulnerability in not only Vista but also XP, and even 2000, and the order if importance to download the update increases as you go to a further older OS. So in fact even if you don't like Vista it still has the best security around in the Windows platforms, no matter how much you may hate the user account control switch it will become a lot more handy once these hackers start hacking into Vista so yay for security in OS's though we still need a better solution for Using Windows without hacksers being able to gain control of your computer.
