Windows 10: Why doesn't closing the lid make the laptop go in idle mode?

I use this app called salad that mines crypto by using your computer's gpu and cpu. It has the option to start mining when the computer is idle for 1 minute. I have set the option of what closing the lid does in control panel to "Do nothing". Still, the mining doesn't start. I see no amount of crypto mines even though I left the lid closed for like 30 mins. In this much time, it usually mines about $0.01-$0.03, but it doesn't do anything. Why is the option even useful then? Is there a way I can mine even with my lid closed? Specs of required:AMD Ryzen 5 4600HNVIDIA GeForce GTX 16508GB RAM 8x1

Sleep mode when lid is closed

When I close the lid of my Lenovo laptop with Windows 7, the computer doesn NOT go to sleep. The settings in Control Panel are correct: When I Close The Lid I have put SLEEP for battery and plugged in mode. How can I get it to go back to working normally
and putting my laptop to sleep mode when I close the lid? I already had Windows 7 re-installed, but the problem is still there. Thank you

in Power Options, let's try to make hibernation unavailable. Follow these steps:

• Right-click on the Windows icon on your home screen.
• Select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Click Yes if you get a prompt window.
• Type powercfg.exe /hibernate off then press Enter.

See if this will prevent the laptop from hibernating when you close the lid.
