Why doesnt my hdmisocket on this laptop not connect to my tv anymore?

How do I get my HDMI socket to work on my ACER laptop.

I want to interface it with my CCTV DVR.

I have a HDMI socket on my DVR and one on my laptop but the laptop does not recognize any HDMI sockets at all.

Hdmi audio doesnt work

my graphics driver and hdmi work perfectly on other devices but it doesnt work on my built in speaker screen. the playback devices dont show the option for the hdmi either?
