Why Doesn't Windows 11 Support an IntelR CoreTM i7-7820HQ CPU?

I am finding that the only thing keeping us from updating a perfectly good and fast gaming/business laptop to Windows 11 is because it detects it has an IntelR CoreTM i7-7820HQ at 3Ghz. How in the world is that not supportable by this operating system? Inquiring minds want to know...and not just the answer "because it's on the list". That's lame. Please support the IntelR CoreTM i7-7820HQ. Thank you.

    :)

  2. Why Intel i7-7820HK processor is not included for windows 11 update list, as Intel i7-7820HQ included, then why not i7-7820HK?

Why Intel i7-7820HK processor is not included for windows 11 update list, as Intel i7-7820HQ included, then why not i7-7820HK? Technically all the requirement is met by i7-7820HK and also is faster than Intel i7-7820HQ. This is not good. This is rather partiality.

  4. Why Doesn't Windows 11 Support an IntelR CoreTM i7-7820HQ CPU?

Windows 11 system requirements. i7-7700HQ CPU not on the list. Will it ever be added?

    Hi ,

Many 7th gen intel CPUs are not support due to few security limitations and problems(spectre and meltdown vulnerabilities) , only 7th gen extreme edition CPUs and i7 7820HQ are supported as of now . Microsoft will most probably not add it into the compatibility list .

    Regards ,
