Windows 10: Why dont i have my recovery keys?

Why dont i have my recovery keys for my old laptop when the device is tied to my email? It even says i have 2 devices because i brought a new laptop, but when i press "see details" and then "manage recovery keys" for the old one, the device is just not there, only my new device is there.

I dont have a bitlocker recovery key

I am trying to update my bios and intelme but it suggests i know my bitlocker recovery key. I am pretty sure i dont have one. What do i do?

 

Lost bitlocker recovery key

I have lost my bitlocker recovery key and tried following the recovery steps. I have also searched and tried following the command prompts suggested but none have worked.

I suggest you to download and install the latest software for ‘One Key Recovery’ from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

If the issue still persists, uninstall the software and install it in compatibility mode by following the steps below:

• Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the driver and click on properties.
• Under Compatibility tab, check the option for Run in Compatibility mode.
• Select Windows 8 from the drop down list.
• Click on Apply and then OK.
• Install the driver software.
