Windows 10: Why has adding toolbars to the taskbar in windows 11 been dropped

My whole computer life was aided enormously by the simple but very very effective facility to add toolbars to the taskbar. For those who have missed this amazing productivity help it allows you to create a folder that contained shortcuts to other folder paths, websites files etc. These can be pinned to the taskbar for slick easy access. They can be named . You can have as many as you have room for and you can store your collection of toolbars on your computer and offload/unpin and repin as your like. It was incredibly useful. With windows 11 this has GONE! with no equivalent replacement. It

Adding a folder as an Icon to the Taskbar

One possible way to add a folder as an icon to the taskbar in Windows 11 is to use the Quick Launch toolbar. Here are the steps to do that:

1. Right-click on an empty space on the taskbar and select Toolbars > New toolbar.

2. In the dialog box that opens, navigate to the folder that contains your shortcuts and select it. Click on Select Folder.

3. You should see a new toolbar on the right of the taskbar with the name of the folder. You can drag it to adjust its position and size.

4. To remove the text and show only icons, right-click on the toolbar and uncheck Show Text and Show Title.

5. To change the icon of the folder, right-click on it and select Properties. Click on Change Icon and choose an icon from the list or browse for a custom one. Click OK to apply the changes.

You have now added a folder as an icon to the taskbar in Windows 11. You can access your shortcuts by clicking on the icon and choosing from the menu that pops up.

Restore 'Links' Toolbar in taskbar in Windows 11

My computer just forced me to upgrade to Windows 11, which I did not want to do! The most glaring thing missing is the option for a 'Links' toolbar in the taskbar, where you can drag down the icon from a URL and drop it in Links so you can access those links immediately without searching for the URL. Don't like this!
How do I restore 'Links' toolbar in taskbar options?
