I have now wasted 30 35 minutes and am so angry that I don't remember why I wanted to use my computer in the first place! Best I can remember it was to look up something on Chrome.* Moved from Community Center

HP Envy caught in reboot loop

Good Day Everyone

So I've been trying to reset my former Laptop to give it to someone else. However, during the reset (deleting all files and reinstalling windows) an error occured and now the laptop is caught in a reboot loop.

To further describe the reboot loop:

1. Power Button is pressed and glows up
   
2. Fan turns on and off
   
3. Screen gets slightly iluminated
   
4. Screen goes black again
   
5. Laptop shuts down again
   
6. Little break
   
7. Starts again from point 2
   

Things such as the HP Logo don't even show up after starting the laptop

Somehow i'm not able to start up the Automatic Recovery Tool

I've tried making a Windows Installation Stick aswell, however the Laptop shuts down before it starts reading the USB

Every help is welcome, I'm open for any questions

Caught in Office activation loop

I have this Dell computer that I reinstall the operating system once in awhile on. (It clears all the junk off of it and makes it run much faster.) At the same time I usually upgrade the hard drive for a larger/faster one.

So I'm doing it this time just like I did before. Then when I installed Office this thing popped up:





OK, so do Internet activation. For which I get this:





Hmm. Strange. OK, I can call them. So I go back and pick "Phone activation", for which I get this:





So any idea how am I supposed to make this thing work?

 

Cannot sign in to Microsoft Account (Cortana) using Win10

I've just upgraded to Win10, and I am trying to sign into my Microsoft Account in order to use Cortana, however I am caught in a loop and it won't accept my credentials.

The credentials are definitely right, verified by accessing the Microsoft account via https://account.microsoft.com. Also, if I type my credentials incorrectly when trying to sign in on my PC I am told the credentials are wrong - therefore I can be certain that the authentication process is taking place.

Steps are as follows:

• Start
  
• Type "Your Account"
  
• Enter
  
• Scroll down on the Setting window
  
• "Add a Microsoft account"
  
• Enter email and password (for Microsoft account)
  
• Sign in
  

Nothing happens. I am returned to the previous screen and not logged in.

The same is true when I place my cursor in the bottom left hand corner search bar. I am asked to sign in to be able to use Cortana, the dialogues about getting you to sign in just go round in a loop after I've entered my credentials.
