Windows 10: Why has my Intel wifi AX201 stopped working recently

My wifi adapter has stopped working on my latop recently. Although there are some temporary fixes like performing a network reset or choosing a previous driver from my device the issue always returns. I'm greeted with a error code 43 and sometimes 10 and have performed a complete clean re-installment of what i think was the latest wifi adapters and Bluetooth drivers. This fixed the issue for slightly longer than usual but the issue has yet returned again today. I'm really struggling to find any solutions I haven't tried already so any help would be appreciated.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz does not work

Doing these "resets" does absolutely nothing since that is at the OS function level, your issue is the driver with the hardware which is before the OS functions.

I've been looking into this recently, and i'll point something out.

There are 3 primary interfaces for these M.2 Wifi cards

- PCIE

- CNVio

- CNVio2

Most boards will support PCIe or CNVi or both.

Systems either support CNVio or CNVio2, but they do not support both. This is because with CNVi some of the function is on the CPU, while PCIe its all on the M.2 wifi card. Intel 10th Gen and newer are CNVio2.

But not all motherboards will accept CNVio2 cards, it needs to be enabled by the manufacturer. Sometimes it is locked down or simply not supported.

With the Intel AX cards, if it ends in a 1, it is CNVi, if it ends in a 0 it is PCIe.

So your system will support an Intel AX200 or AX210, however will not work with an AX201 (CNVio) and may not work with an AX211 (CNVio2) card.

You might have to just get a AX210 which is PCIe. It will do Wifi6E (802.11 AX 6Ghz), so would be a step up over the AX200/AX201 anyway.

 

Intel Ax201 in Windows 10

Hello! I have an Asus Zenbook UX425EA, with 8 gb RAM, 1TB SSD and an Intel i5, 11th gen CPU. The WiFi card is the Intel AX201. Recently, I have encountered problems with the wifi. I tried to reinstall the official driver from Asus and Intel, but nothing worked. If i open Device Manager, and go to the Network Adapter section, I get

"This device cannot start. (Code 10)



{Operation Failed}

The requested operation was unsuccessful."

What can I do? Right now I am using USB Tethering from my phone.

 

Intel wifi ax201 160MHz adapter issue

Please help. I purchased a new laptop yesterday and it cannot hook up to wifi. I ran the troubleshooter and get this as the error: Intel wifi ax201 160MHz adapter is experiencing driver or hardware-related problems. Do I need to connect via ethernet and
try to update the driver? Or do I need to return this computer?
