Win key + Print Screen SystRq not always working to take and save screenshots.

To better assist you with your concern, I'd like to know the following:

• When you press Windows key + Print Scrn SysRq, does your computer's screen somehow dim for a moment? Also, after pressing Windows key + Print Scrn SysRq and press Ctrl + V in Paint, does the screenshot appears?

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
2. Click OK.

• What is the make and model of your device?

To save your screenshot as a file, it would depend on the key combination that will trigger to capture a screenshot and automatically save it to the Screenshots folder. Here are some examples of print screen key combination depending on the manufacturer
of the device (Windows logo key + Ctrl + PrintScrn, or Windows logo key + Fn + PrintScrn)

Windows 10 suddenly stopped taking Screen Shots

Looks like this was asking in Jan 2018 but no solution posted- Windows 10 suddenly stopped taking screenshots. I have a brand new Lenovo Ideapad s340 (owned for <6mo). Tonight I took a screenshot via a command in a virtual lab I am working in; this function
has worked fine for 3 months. A few more steps into the lab and I need to take another screenshot and NOTHING HAPPENS! I try the PrtSc key, NOTHING; I try the keyboard shortcuts, NOTHING! I need this function in order to successfully complete several more
virtual labs by the end of semester. Any help??

 

How to take a screenshot on Windows 10?

If you want to take a screen shot and save it as picture, I suggest you to check with the below steps.

To take a screen shot and save it as a picture

• 
  Click the window you want to capture. Press Alt+Print Screen by holding down the Alt key and then pressing the Print Screen key. The Print Screen key is near the upper-right corner of your keyboard. (Depending
  on the type of keyboard you have, the exact key names on your keyboard may vary slightly.)
  
  Note: You can take a screen shot of your entire desktop rather than just a single window by pressing the Print Screen key without holding down the Alt key.

  Click Start, click Accessories, and then click Paint.
  
• 
  In the Paint window, click Edit, and then click Paste.
  
• 
  When the image appears in the Paint window, click File, and then click Save As.
  
• 
  In the Save As dialog box, in the File name box, type a name for the screen shot, and then click Save.
