  1. Why has the "Open New Folder" option changed in new Windows 11 update.

I spent several hours trying to open a new folder under a subfolder in Windows Explorer but the option has disappeared. I could open a new folder by right clicking "Documents" but not by "right clicking" a folder which is what I have done in Windows for about twenty years!. Evetually I found that you had put a box saying "new" in the top lcorner of the screen. Why? What was wrong with the old method.? It has justed wasted my time and I suspect the time of millions of other people. Why chnage it in a update? Very annoying.

    :)

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

  4. Why has the "Open New Folder" option changed in new Windows 11 update.

File Explorer opens new folders in new windows, occasionally opening multiple new windows, despite folder options.

I'm running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, and recently I keep encountering an error where whenever I try to open a folder through File Explorer it will open it in a new window instead of the same one. In fact, typically it will open the folder in two
new windows. I've gone through the folder options unchecking and rechecking the "open each folder in the same window" and "Double-click to open an item," but it hasn't helped. I've likewise tried "reset folders" and restoring all the View options to defaults.
I've also run the sfc /scannow command through the Command Prompt (running as administrator, of course), but it failed to find any problems. I've run a full scan with Kaspersky Labs Antivirus and found nothing, so I trust that the issue isn't a virus or anything
similar. What research I've done suggests it's a corruption somewhere in the User or System profiles, but aside from the "sfc /scannow" that didn't help I can't seem to find any Windows 10 solutions to the problem. What should my next step in trying to diagnose
    and fix this be?
