    Why has Windows Media Player stopped detecting my Android device?


    I am using Windows 11 and an Honor 8X phone., which I connect using a USB cable to synch music. I synch the phone using Windows media Player, but WMP has suddenly stopped finding the phone - in the Synch tab it still says 'connect a device''. the phone is found by Windows and is usable to transfer files manually, however this is not what I need. I've tried rebooting the PC and have tried multiple cables in multiple USB ports, same result in all.
