Windows 10: Why have my contacts duplicated to multiple storage accounts?

I have had some issues with Microsoft phone link not synching my contacts, and in an attempt to solve this, I moved some of my contacts from my phones contact folder to the Microsoft exchange folder this is on a Samsung A52.This did not seem to work and only select contacts would show, although all my contacts were now showing in Microsoft Exchange folder. I tried moving them back to the phone folder, and then back to M.E folder but it seems that every time this is done, it leaves a link to that folder.The result is that I have now got multiple storage locations for each contact, some contac

Windows Live Mail duplicate contacts

Hi Bruce,

I understand that there are duplicate contacts in Windows Live Mail and I will be happy to answer your query.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to do a cleanup of contacts that are duplicated.

• Open your Live Mail.
• Click Contacts on the lower left corner of your page.
• Click Clean up contacts on the Home Tab before your name, this will lead you to connect on your web page account.
• Click Save.

Alternate way to clean the duplicates.

• Sign in to
  http://people.live.com.
• Click Manage towards the top.
• Click Clean up contacts.
• Click Save and continue button.

Multiple Contact Lists attributed to same email address in Outlook

On Contacts page in Outlook, two contacts lists exist with the same email address. One shows name on the top line, the other shows email address. Contact lists are similar but not the same. How can we merge the contact lists into one and eliminate duplicates?
