Windows 10: Why I am getting English India Keyboard

Hi,

During installation I just gave my MS account , it took and installed all, later I found that I got installed with English India Keyboard,

I had added US keyboard layout and deleted English India Keyboard,


But English India Keyboard not going ,

I tried below commands from power shell and reset to US keyboard,


Get-WinUserLanguageList
New-WinUserLanguageList en-US
Set-WinUserLanguageList en-US

but later when I added "Telugu" as additional additional language,. I found this India key board again as third option

while switching from English <-> Telugu , I found some times it is going to EnglishIndia where my keys gets into issue as some keys are differently configured than US Key board,

I want to remove this English India Keyboard from system



Any help?

Can't change speech language to English (India).

today I installed win 10 1511 version and faced the same problem, the issue is just that we didn't installed the speech recognition for English India language pack.

to install the speech recognition follow the steps

• go to time and language and then click on region and
  language
• click on the English India language and click on options.
• under the language options download the Speech pack.
• after the feature has installed you can change the speech language from English us to English IN and Cortana runs efficiently

 

cortana not working with English (India) setup.

As even performing all the above steps didn't help you to activate Cortana with English (India) settings, I suggest you to change the settings to English (United states) and check if Cortana is working.

Keyboard in input field problem (not english nor french)

Hi,

I realize the inconvenience caused to you regarding the keyboard language. I will certainly assist you.

Please answer the below questions to assist you better.

1. What is the make and model of the computer\keyboard?

2. Have you tried connecting other keyboards and check if the issue persists?

I suggest you to remove the other keyboard languages apart from English Language
and check if the issue still persists.

Follow the below steps for the same.

• Type Windows + X and then select Control Panel
• Select Languages.
• In Keyboard layout select the language.
• Select the other languages apart from the English language in the input method and then select Remove.
