    Why I cannot change the sample rate for my headset?


    Hello,I have a very uncommon situation. I cannot find a definite answer to it. I have a brand new Sennheiser Momentum 4 wireless headset. I noticed unpleasant very random crackling sounds. It does not matter if I am listening to youtube or podcast or music from my laptop. The thing is this issue appears only on my personal laptop. I have no issues on my iPhone or company laptop. Originally I thought it is a bluetooth interference but in the same room other devices with the same headphones do not have this symptoms. Previously I had different wireless headphones and no issues. Then I thought

    Changing Sample Rate Stopped Headset


    Hello everyone. Today while I was looking through my speaker properties, I noticed I could change the Sample Rate (which I thought may give me better sound quality). However, after I changed it, the headphones I currently had plugged in stopped working. The speakers still work fine, and the headphones still work, and are recognized, they just don't produce any sound. I tried changing the sample rate back to the default 24bit 48000hz and restarting my computer but nothing seems to work. My problem is almost identical to this one: Headset stopped working after changing sample rate but I'm not sure where to find that option the second post refers to. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    sample rate / bit rate low wont adjust /

    That's the correct sampling rate.

    Standard Bluetooth has a microphone sampling rate of 8 KHz. Higher priced corporate Bluetooth headsets has the optional Bluetooth mSBC codec which has a 16 KHz sampling rate.

    List of Bluetooth profiles - Wikipedia

    If connected by USB, sampling rate is determined by the Analog to Digital Converter inside your USB headset. Basically all USB mics have 16 bit 48 KHz sampling rate. Just look at the Blue Yeti USB mic, 16 bit 48 KHz.

    audiodp.exe and sample rate

    I cannot change the sample rate in my recording interface because I get message that audiodp.exe is on and this will not allow sample rate change please advise
