Windows 10: why I cannot type second language

Hi. I have bought a laptop from USA.I had set the language in the setting, I set the preferred language as Korean. I also opened the option of the Korean menu and set the keyboard. I clicked alt+shift and I also changed the small button setting in the toolbar. But I still cannot type Korean. All thing I could type is the English. Would please help me to use my language?Sincerely

Typing language problem

Why is Use language list only showing UK, and not US as another option in view of the steps I have taken to install it and put it at the top of my list? What is the' language bar', referred to? I don't think I have ever seen it, or am not recognising it if I had. And why is Keyboard shown as English UK when Settings is opened?

I have no idea. I know nothing about adding languages.

Because that is what it has been set to.
This should change it.

Regarding your suggestion, to turn off

• "Autocorrect Misspelled Words"
• "Highlight Misspelled Words"

This indeed stops the Action Centre - Language Settings notifications, prompting to install Language Typing Features

• Can you please clarify if only one (and if so, which one) OR both of these settings need to be turned off to stop the notifications?
  
• Secondly, the problem with your suggestion is that the notifications stop at the expense of an effectively deactivated functionality.
  
  Moreover, the Autocorrect and Highlight functions are turned off
  globally, ie across all installed languages.
  
  For example, in my case I have a second language and keyboard installed (Russian). I have NOT installed, under Language Options for Russian: Basic Typing, Handwriting and Speech options. I suspect that was the cause of Install Language Typing Features notifications

  However, now that I've turned off the Autocorrect and Highlight functions, they are obviously not working when I switch to English either.

  are not missing any installed options (in my case, English)
