Windows 10: Why I can’t connect external HDD to my lenovo LOQ

I purchased a Lenovo LOQ 15IRH8 Type 82XV yesterday from one of Lenovo’s official distributors. I installed Windows 11 Pro on it and then installed the latest drivers, including a BIOS update, from the Lenovo website using two flash drives without any problems. However, when I tried to connect external hard drives Seagate and Samsung, they were recognized in the device manager but not in the disk management. I tested these drives on a Mac Mini and a Lenovo Legion, and they worked perfectly. Even after formatting one of them and plugging it back into my laptop, the issue persisted. Attempti

Need a new Internal HDD for lenovo G500

hey guys, thanks for replying, ok so 7200 rpm will be consuming more power, hmm makes sense. Also about buying the same brands hdd- the laptop is from lenovo, but buying a hdd from lenovo is so costly, the service centre guys told that 7000rs. is the cost of an hdd from lenovo, man thats really strange.

we have already ordered a 5200 rpm hdd 500 gb (hitachi).

We have just one Western Digital Hdd, i.e external portable one. It works fine. I saw some stats online that showed Hitachi Hdds more reliable than WD, so went for this one,

External HDD/USB.

Hello.

I have an external HDD docking station connected to my PC thru USB.

Devine manager sees it. But Windows explorer does not.

Suggestions?
