Windows 10: Why I cant open my kotlin zip file in notepad it is not giving me the proper code

Yesterday I downloaded a zip file from my source of learning and then I tried to open it in notepad for once it does work and opened in notepad and after that it does not work .the file contains my kotlin code why It is not showing me the proper code.for eg. adding a picture

nto notepad. Excel is not listed as an option. How can I make it so?

What type of file are you trying to open, is that a zip file, a text file or a csv file?

If that is a zip file, Excel or Notepad cannot successfully open a zip file, you need to extract that file to gain access to the contained file(s)

If that is a text file, change the file extension to csv and Excel should open that, depending on the layout of the data in that file

Can you please provide a bit more information on that file you are trying to open and what type of data is in that file . . .

 

Zipped folders opening in notepad

I tried to open one ZIP file in notepad and accidentally set them to always open with notepad. I left clicked and pressed open with then notepad. I tried to change it back in properties but I can't figure it out. Unfortunately I had never done a zipped file before so I didn't know about winrar or zip 7 yet so at first I actually made it open with internet explorer and then made it open with notepad and now it won't let me do it with anything else
