Windows 10: Why in Windows 11 some links are shown in korean language, while default set language is...

After newest March Windows updates all our organization computers with Win11 24H2 OS version 100+ shows some links in Windows Update and System in korean language. Default language, region, keyboard and other settings are set to Lithuania, but links Installing pending Windows updates easily, Pausing updates for a convenient time, Manually updating your device drivers, Renaming your device for better security are shown in korean language. If you press those links they will open with Bing in korean search text. If you change default language to English - all is fine, links are shown in Engli

Make Korean language as Windows Display Language

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



As per the screenshot, I see that Korean language pack is already installed on the computer that is the reason the option is greyed out.



As you have mentioned that you want to set Korean language as the Windows UI language, refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click o Time & Language and click on
   Language on the left pane.
   
3. Now, under Windows display language, select
   Korean from the drop down.
   
4. Sign out and
   sign in back to the computer to set the Korean language as display language.

Thanks, it worked for my computer, but did not for other computers with the same Windows version. Please help.

 

Change Windows app language WITHOUT affecting default language

Hello folks,

The Windows 10 app language problem is so painful. What I want to do are:

• Set Windows 10 default language in Korean--for typing
• Set Windows 10 display language (override) in English
• Use Apps (Mail, Calendar, etc.) in English

So far, what I learned from this forum is that I have to change the default language to English to use Apps in English. However, I do need to keep the default language in Korean. Display language in English did not make Apps shown in English.

Does it mean that the Apps are not able to set language within the individual apps?
