    Why is 50% of my RAM being used when idle?


    I have 16GB of memory in total 3200mhz and it's always at 97%+ when gaming, and when idle, it's always at around 50%. When scrolling through task manager, it doesn't seem like I am using that much, but there are LOADS of small files using around 20MB each, including lots of service host files. I haven't done the math, but those small files could be the ones using around 6GB while idle. I was just wondering if there is any way to check which files you actually need and which files are just using up ram without being usefull. I currently have 200 processes running, of which only 3 are actuall
