Windows 10: Why is a game icon still on my PC after deletion

Hi I'm on windows 11 and I deleted apex legends and the game icon is still there. I canr right or left click on it but it's just there.

I can only suggest that you
1 Add a list of steps you have already taken.
2 Add a comment about restarting the computer. Do the deleted icons disappear then?
2 Add a comment explaining if any Desktop items do delete correctly and whether or not there are any significant differences between those that do delete correctly and those that don't.
3 Add a list of any OS tweaks you have done & any third-party OS-related utilities you have run.

I assume you have already reinstalled your display driver.

delete demo games

If you don't want to see them everyday, you can remove their shortcuts from the games folder.

To do this, follow these steps:

• open file explorer
• go to windows folder
• go to start menu
• go to programs>games
• delete the game's shortcut from there by tapping-n-holding on the shortcut

Is this problem with only one game, or all games ?

I haven't come across this before. Has the icon on the .exe file in the games install folder changed?

I was thinking the icon on your shortcut changed, seemingly at random.

In your case deleting the icon cache as Jerico suggested may do the trick.
