Windows 10: Why is "Add Columns" in File Manager greyed out and not available to use?

Why is "Add Columns" in File Manager greyed out and not available to use? I want to add a couple of columns to better identify file locations, but this version of File Manager Win 10 2004 won't let me!

I have added the file count column to my folder in File Explorer. However, the actual file count is not displaying.
