    Why is bluetooth settings in Windows 10 showing the battery of some disconnected devices?


    My bluetooth settings shows the percentage of my Bose headphones even though bluetooth is off and I haven't connected them in days, while my Airpods don't show a percentage, even though I connected to them minutes ago. Here is a screenshot:Why could this be happening?

    How to disconnect and reconnect bluetooth devices in Windows 10?

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Pair the Bluetooth device to the system.
    • Right click on the Speaker icon in the System tray and select
      Playback Devices.
    • Select the device and click on the drop down list next to Set default button.
    • Select the option to connect and disconnect from the device.

    Troubleshooting Bluetooth Device Disconnections

    I ended up replacing the Intel 7260 with the original included Broadcom card. I downloaded the Bluetooth drivers from ASRock and am back in business.

    My Bluetooth device was out of battery, so I also replaced the batteries in that. I think what was happening is the device was dying from low power, and for whatever reason the Intel drivers didn't know how to handle it, causing my computer to lock up and disconnecting all Bluetooth devices. The Intel card never had an issue with other Bluetooth devices, but for whatever reason this one (Xbox One wireless controller) really tripped it up.

    The errors I showed above from the event log are still there, so they must be unrelated to the issue I was having.

    Bluetooth device shows in disconnected state

    I am unable to power on my Bluetooth device. In Device Manager I see the below error.

    Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

    To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.

    I have already tried below suggestions:

    • Updating the drivers
    • Updating the Windows (via Windows Updates)
    • Bluetooth services are set as Automatic and are running.

    If I click on the device location, I see

    Port_#0003.Hub_#0005

    Please provide a resolution to this.
