Windows 10: Why is bluetooth still pairing my headset to the computer when the bluetooth setting is off?

I have a HEADSET I pair to my cell phone. When I turn on my computer it disconnects my phone and pairs the device to the computer. The bluetooth is already turned off on the computer and I have disconnected and removed the device at least 100 times. Why is bluetooth pairing to anything when the setting is off?

I am currently in the market for a set a bluetooth headset. I noticed this and was rather interested, I love the design, and I love the price, is their anyone out there, who can provide info on these or another set of headphones, or bluetooth headsets in general. Thanks in advance.

Unable to pair Bluetooth headset

Hello,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

• Are you able to use the headset on different devices?
  
• Are you able to pair any other Bluetooth devices to the computer?
  
• What is the make and model of the computer?
  

Please follow the below mentioned methods and check if that makes any difference:

Method 1: Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter.

• Press Windows logo + I, to open
  Settings.
  
• Select Update & Security.
  
• Select Troubleshoot.
  
• Select Bluetooth and then click on
  Run the troubleshooter.
  

Method 2:

I suggest to refer this article Fix Bluetooth problems in Windows 10
for further troubleshooting on the Bluetooth device.

Method 3:Update the Bluetooth driver.

Please go to the computer manufacturer website, download and install the Bluetooth driver and check if that helps.
