    Access Microsoft Game exe

The path to the folder containing the file is \WindowsApps\... and shows that the .exe you are looking at is a Store App (aka UWP app). The WindowsApps folder is owned by TrustedInstaller and heavily protected. Even as an administrator you do not have access to it. But even if you gain access, you cannot start a UWP app just by clicking on its .exe, UWP apps don't work that way.

In the Reshade Compatability List I do not see anything I recognise as a UWP app. They are all older conventional Win32 executables. It appears Reshade is not designed to work with UWP apps, only Win32 desktop apps.

    .exe Files

    Hi SynMalphur

Generally an exe file will be located in the folder an application or game is installed into

A quick way to find an exe is:

    Start the application or game

Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc)

On the processes tab, right click that process and choose 'Open File Location'

That will show you the location of the exe file on your PC

Please Note, if you are trying to locate an exe of a Game or App that was downloaded from the Microsoft Store, that will be contained in the application folder inside C:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder

The WindowsApps folder is the most highly protected folder on your PC and access to that folder is blocked and if you change permissions on that folder to access its contents, you may brick your system . . .
