    hi ... I just got to say I have had a terrible time with MS support. 1st time had to restart my PC and the agent left me a likk to reconnect.. That wasn't valid. 2nd time the agent said her system was having problems and was shutting down. Really ? You work at MICROSOFT?????? 3RD X was on chat and gave the agent the case # and she said she needed to review it that was ok but after 10 mins I draw the line. Just very frustrated with the lack of customer service now of days. About 2 months ago had an encounter with MS support agent that basically callled me a thief because I didnt know what what email my office was with. I told the (boy) agent that I was on 2nd laptop of the year because I had a stalker/hacker that corrupted every system I was on. Never had that issue resolved ( even though I have proof of office in system). Just wished people would understand it takes only a moment to be nice, it takes so much longer to be nasty. Carpe diem everyone!

    Nasty ransomware overwrites your PC's master boot record


    Trying to stay one step ahead of ransomware and other nasties, I make a weekly backup, run a quality antivirus, malwarebytes and stay away from sites that I feel might be unsafe.

    thanks for everyones input i definitley learned a few new things and i guess ill just buy a new psu the corsair 620w everone keeps suggesting sounds nice

    Very slow internet handshakes

    I dutifully followed the list and slowly lost faith in your suggestions until I reached "using network reset should be the last step you try." Knowing that this would completely ruin my PC I gave it a go, logged the network back in, and it seems to be cured.
    I hestitate to confirm that it has worked, but all has been well for a couple of hours.

    Thank you very much, because I can now get back to the report that I was researching. Let me use the word brilliant and many other compliments for your suggestion.

    I do reserve the right to abuse you tomorrow when this sad PC reverts to its previous nasty habit Why?? Is everone so nasty!! :)
