Windows 10: Why is i7 8550U 1.80GHz compatible with Windows 11 upgrade but not i7 7500U 2.7GHz?

I have two HP Spectre X360 laptops, one 15" and one 13". The 15" has an i7 8550U 1.80GHz processor with 16GB RAM and the 13" has an i7 7500U 2.70GHz processor with 16GB RAM. The Microsoft scan is telling me that the 15" is compatible with Windows 11 but not the 13". Does anyone know why?

Hello microsoft as I know windows 11 will not support my i7 7500U CPU I'm wondering if this is final decision or the list will be update need answer to make my own decision about microsoft and my new computer.

My Lenovo laptop has much more capacity than lot of other laptop that you support Win 11 on. 2 core Intel i7 CPU, 16 GB ram & 512 GB SSD.

I would like to upgrade to Win 11 but the CPU Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2,70GHz

is not supported. Newer weaker CPU's are supported.

Can I install Win 11 on Intel Core i7-7500U CPU @ 2,70GHz now?

Or when will you support that CPU?

I would like to update my pc to Win 11 but Windows update shows 'cpu not supported'.

However on the list of compatible Win 11 cpu's I find my pc cpu.

can you please advise if my pc is compatible with Win 11 and what should I do to upgrade.
