Windows 10: Why is install vmware tools greyed out?

Hi Microsoft,So i was trying to install vmware tools on my windows 7 vm but the option "Install vmware tools" is greyed outThere is no way its because "The os is old it may become unsupported" because i click "Install vmware tools" on my windows xp virtual machine and it worked properly why didnt it work on windows 7 despite windows xp is an older system and it work on older system, i even try to install vmware tools on Windows 10 and Windows 11 and they all worked but why do every one of these oses work with vmware tools but just not windows 7? Please help!

When i try to install vmware tools for vmware player 12 a screen pop says that this version of windows (Windows 10) cannot perform task for security reasons. Then it asks which app I would like to use to perform this task and I click on it. The app is
the newest version of Windows Pro.

Try re-installing VMware. If that doesn't work, make sure that the firewall on host computer isn't blocking VMware, then update or install VMware Tools in the VMs. (I could give step-by-step instructions but I'm sure won't need them)
