Windows 10: Why is it so complicated to retrieve a stupid nine digit "input code" on my PC?

I'm trying to download a call log from my android to my PC. Been at it for several hours on a procedure that should take only a few minutes. Part of this seems to require retrieving a stupid nine digit number on my PC. Can't find it and after reading some previous complicated suggestions, it's downright insane that this seemingly simple procedure almost requires a trained coder to execute it....and I'm not a tech dummy. While not my profession, as an editor I've been working with computers since the early '80s, but his is outright insanity!!! Got a new computer but unfortunately I'm stuck

How do I get a 7 digit code to reinstall windows 10

If you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC
during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will have a digital entitlement stored on the
Microsoft Servers

The 7 digit code is used to confirm your ID with your Microsoft account

Please follow these steps:

• Open the Settings App, go to Accounts
• You should see the "Verify" link just above your picture
• Check your Email to see if Microsoft have sent you a 7 digit code
• Enter the 7 digit code when asked

 

My Tablet PC Input Service is missing/gone and others!

Could you please help me with the below information:

1. Which version of Windows you are using? (To check, type:
   winver in start menu and hit enter.)
   
2. Are you aware of any changes happened on the computer prior to the issue?
   
3. What is the make and model of the Tablet PC?
   

This issue can be fixed by enabling the service or starting it from the services. I would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: Start the service.

1. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
2. Type Services.msc and it enter.
   
3. Search for Tablet PC Input Service.
   (There are two other services responsible for Tablet input to function correctly.
   SL UI Notification Service and Software Licensing.)
4. Double click on the service and select
   Automatic in drop down StartUp type.
5. Click on Start or Restart option to start the service.
   

Method 2: Enable the service.

1. Press Windows and
   R key together on your Keyboard.
2. Type msconfig and it enter.
   
3. In the System Configuration window,go to
   Servicestab and search for
   Tablet PC Input Service.
4. Check the option, Tablet PC Input Service
   to enable it.
5. Click on Restart and check if the issue is fixed.

Digital media device

Thanks for replying with these suggestions. I'm out of town till next week so will try them then and post what happens.

I have already checked Device Manager, and the speakers are listed as Digital Media devices and are not in the Audio inputs and outputs, nor the Sound, Video, Game Controller groupings.
