    Why is it so difficult to set up multiple users in a family on Minecraft?


    I have three kids - one no longer plays Minecraft but we bought it for him a long time ago. Our second and third kids both play it actively but have had to buy several copies with having one kid on Windows and another on a Mac. It is so difficult to get them set up to be able to join the same server and play together. It has been impossible for our kids to set this up and both college educated parents have now been involved in solving the account issues. How do we get guidance on this both from a installation perspective as well as how to manage the various accounts? This is such a pain!

    Homegroup For Minecraft Servers Or What?

    It looks as if the existing minecraft server will use the new system without modification - It needs to be able to access the computers on the network in a two way link, which is the standard for Workgroup and Homegroup

    There is a complete step by step available, if you have any issues ...

    It's not something I have any direct experience with but a quick read suggests to me that you will not need to do Much if any reconfiguration of the existing server

    Not able to set up a separate user account for my wife...following the steps as outlined in settings for setting up family - but get "we couldn't connect to Microsoft family right now, so your family on this device might not be up to date". I am logged
    in to my Microsoft account as it suggests. Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?

    Setting Microsoft Family app limit on Minecraft Java edition

    Time spent using Minecraft Java edition doesn't show up in the list of apps used in Microsoft Family. This means you can't set an app limit on it. Minecraft launcher shows up, but it only says it has been used for 1 minute, whereas i know the game has
    been played for hours. How can parental controls be applied here? It works for Minecraft Windows 10 edition but not Java.
