  1. Why is it so hard to buy Windows 10 Enterprise v1809/1909

Sorry for this people... but I have to let Microsoft know.

I work for a Major tech company. We want to buy product keys for Windows 10 enterprise.

The problem is that when I tell the purchaser what to get … he bought the wrong version LTSC.

He is so confused … so I thought I would go on the sight and find what he needs then take a screen shot so its clear.

But NO. I cant find a web page which shows which version to get.

After spending about 20 minutes I found a web page with WIndows 10 Enterprise E3 … why would I want that … and what is E3.

I don't want to spend 15 minutes reading about E3. I want to find a standard basic Windows 10 Enterprise workstation just like we have used in the past with v1607 and v1809.

This confusing makes me wish we were using RHEL.

Sorry … this is driving me nuts.

Microsoft please create a web page where users can see and compare all the WIndows 10 Enterprise versions.

YOu probably have it but I am not finding it when I do a search.

    :)

  2. Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

Why is it so hard to buy Windows 10 Enterprise v1809/1909

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
