Windows 10: why is it that every windows 11 update causes the games i play to lag?

I have a LENOVO V14 G2 ALC laptop which i use mostly for gaming, but for school-work related stuff as well. Every update of windows 11 seems to make the games that i play laggy, even though the gameplay before the update is smooth. The games i play normally are hoyoverse games like Honkai Impact 3 and Honkai: Star Rail. I don't know what causes this to happen. Card games lagging!

Windows Explorer high power usage when playing video games. This causes game to freeze lag every 4-5 minutes. Windows 11

My PC started freeze lagging for like a second every 5 minutes while playing video games. I updated the OS to windows 11 from windows 10, and it ran smoothly for months till a recent update. So, I tried looking into the issue to figure out what's going on. I opened a task manager to a second screen to try to see if a spike happens anywhere when the freeze lag occurs. Initially, all I saw was windows explorer randomly jumping to the top of the list, then back down. then i expanded the window and realized there is a very high-power usage by windows explorer when the lag happens.

I have tried almost everything I found on the internet. I literally wiped the computer (factory reset) and it still happens. I updated all the drivers, did a disc scan, even paid for applications like Restoro to try to help, but it's still happening. I found a workaround - literally end the windows explorer task while I'm playing video games, and the lag doesn't happen anymore. Overtime i've tried to play games without ending the task but it always lags. Just tried it again before posting this, and it still happens. Only way to play video games without any interruptions is to start the video game, then once loaded, end the windows explorer task. Certain functionalities are limited, but this is the only manageable workaround.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
