    Hello!I noticed something suspicious happening on my computer. Randomly, a black window I assume it is the command prompt would suddenly pop up and then exit very quickly. It's like when you blink your eye, that fast. That's why I scan my computer with Microsoft Safety Scanner. It would find 3 infections during the process of the scanning. Then when it has completed, it would show that no viruses were found. This is a bit confusing.How do I fix this infection when MSERT itself cannot and doesn't remove it? Hope someone could help me find the source of that 3 infection.Thank you!

    Microsoft safety scanner finds no virus?

    Hello Anxious,

    I am Jaspreet Singh.

    Microsoft Scanner works in steps.

    So at first stage it will detect what may be an infected file and it will add that to a list. This is the number you see when you see the scanner progressing. These are not actual infections, just suspicious files.

    Once the scan is done the safety scanner will match the suspected files with the most recent database of threats and then tell you the actual infections on your system. If the last number is 0 it means no actual infection was found.
