Windows 10: Why is KB4023057 never available for download in the catalog?

A few times a year, MS publishes quality updates under KB4023057. But the last time they made any of these updates available for download in the Microsoft Update Catalog was May 2021. Some of us rely on the catalog; in my case, Windows Update never works because of error 0x80070057. I've tried everything anyone has ever suggested to fix it short of wiping the disk clean and starting over to no avail.So, I rely on the catalog for anything that isn't a driver update. When will MS publish these particular updates in the catalog again?

KB4023057 not listed for Windows 1809 (x64) in the Windows Update Catalog

Hi,

Windows Update offers "2020-08 Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based systems (KB4023057)".

Normally, all updates are also available in the Windows update catalog. This one, too, for all Windows versions, but for 1809 it's missing:

Microsoft Update Catalog

Why? I've waited a couple of days, but it's still not there.

Hello,
Recently ran CCleaner, in the installed programs found (strange) KB4023057, it was installed unknowingly 4 days ago. Made a search in microsoft updates catalog, it is a "not found" item.
It is not listed in the installed updates list, shell I uninstall it ?

KB4023057 Error 0x80070643

I have Windows 10 (1803) and got this error above when trying to install the update "KB4023057".

None of the "Solutions" or "Suggestions" (uninstalling, stopping services, ISO-image, repair-tool, a.s.o.) helped.

So I tried to download and install it by myself. .. And successfully installed the update.

I took these Steps (maybe, you only need steps 4-6):

1: Download of Patch under the official microsoft update download page "Microsoft Update Catalog"

2: Unpack the downloaded package in a temporary folder.

3: Try to run the unpacked installer "windows10.0-kb4023057-x64.msi" as admin via CMD

-> Error "Cannot write to file "C:\Program Files\rempl\ <blablabla>"

4: Renamed the folder mentioned above to "C:\Program Files\rempl-OLD"

5: Run the setup again.

-> Success

6: Searched for new Updates with the regular Windows-update-function.

-> Success ... Update is no longer shown.

Maybe it is enough for you to only run steps 4-6.
