Windows 10: Why is Microsoft being so stubborn about their precious bottom-of-the-screen task bar?

I've already seen the replies touting the reason for the location of the taskbar in Windows 11. I don't give a rats behind about your "design". You are KILLING my functionality with your "design". Every single day I rage and curse Windows 11. LET. IT. GO!!!There is no getting used to this major design flaw. Whomever is being adamant about the placement of the taskbar needs a major kick in their ego. We had the freedom to choose the placement for 26 years and someone just up and decides, "NOPE! No taskbar freedom for you!" That is a really freaking long time to have a freedom just to lose

Cannot modify Task Bar settings

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

Microsoft Edge gone on task bar

I would suggest you to refer to the below steps and check if it helps:

• 
  Click on Start Menu which is on bottom left corner on the screen.
  
• 
  And then click on All Apps.
  
• 
  From the list select Microsoft Edge and
  Right click on Microsoft Edge.
  
• 
  And Click on pin to taskbar.
