Windows 10: Why is Microsoft Calculator using so much CPU time?

I don't think I have used the calculator function on my pc ever, but, in the last 30 days, it has used more than 7 minutes of CPU time. I will be uninstalling this app today.As an afterthought, your options in the dropdown menus are obviously NOT written by your average computer user with average computer questions. You should hire me to make the drop down listing of options. I imagine you get all sorts of questions going to the wrong "experts". Ever wonder why? If you could answer this: Where would you have categorized my question? Because, by the 3rd or 4th "sub-category", I was just picking

Why not make a suggestion on the Feedback Hub.

I think this is a step in the right direction. I use Calculator daily.

 

Calculator Will not Open

I would suggest you to provide some information to help you better.

  Are you facing this issue on a local account or the Microsoft account?
  
• 
  Are you facing this issue with the built in calculator or the calculator app?
  

If it is a built in Calculator I would suggest you to check if you can open and check the status.

• 
  Press Windows + R keys.
  
• 
  Type calc and hit Enter
  and check the status if its opening.
  

I would also suggest you to try creating a new user account
and check if issue persists.

new power supply calculator

I was trying to implement that but run in to a little problem. The stock core voltage is unknown for most of the cpu's listed in there and I assume they cannot be found easily anywhere. That means you would have to manually enter vcore and overclocked vcore and people (and I) hate every extra step *Smile
Maybe I should still implement that since who uses a stock cpu anyways *Wink
