Windows 10: Why is Microsoft Update invasive and destructive?

WTF???Why does Microsoft feel they have the right to force my computer to shutdown and update itself without getting an acceptance prompt from me, the owner and user of the computer? I had work in progress and left it overnight. The next day I found that your invasive software update forced my computer to restart. How can that be justified when I never received or requested any prompt to allow it to restart?Get off your self-righteous asses and fix your update procedures. Don't update anything unless you get an acceptance response from the user. I don't feel like I should be able to stop off a

• Are you able to access the Windows Store?
• What happens when you try to access the Windows Store?
• Are you getting any error message?

Let’s try with some steps which helps you resolving the issue.

Step 1: Try a Windows store resetting.

• 
  Press Windows + R key.
  
• 
  Type wsreset and hit Enter.
  

Windows store will reset and start.

Step 2:
Run a Windows app troubleshooter and check.

Microsoft Windows update system destruction?

Hi Brazilian,

You can reset Windows apps, which clears their stored data and sets them back to default. Though this will clear your settings, you won’t lose any purchases or installed apps.

Reset the Microsoft Store

Press Windows key + I to open Settings and click Apps.

Scroll the list and click Microsoft Store.

Then click Advanced options > Reset.

It will show a warning that the app’s data will be deleted, so click Reset again.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
