Windows 10: Why is my 10000 INR licensed OS doesn't support HEVC whereas a cheap OEM version does?

I've a OEM installed windows 10 on laptop and a license that I bought for my desktop from MS store. OEM by default has this codec, VLC a free player has this codec, a 10,000+ INR worth product doesn't come with this? Hope this is some sort of a joke and will be fixed.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Is OEM License Legit?

Hi,

I searched online for Windows 10 Home License and there is a huge difference in prices on various websites.

It ranges from INR 385 (USD5.36) to INR 9299 (USD 129.54).

I am so confused! Some shops and Amazon sellers are offering Retail license for around INR 7500 (USD 104.50). One seller on Amazon is offering Professional license for INR 6500 (USD 90.61) which I am very interested in.

Also OEM Licenses are available online from INR 1000 (USD 13.94) to INR 3500 (USD 41.81).

Coming to the question; I am not an Original Equipment Manufacturer, so is it legal for me to buy, install and use an OEM License? And is it legal for the seller to sell the OEM License to me?

I know the difference in features between OEM and Retail Licenses but I will be okay with OEM if it is legit.

Another question which may sound stupid, Can Windows 10 Home license be used commercially?
