Windows 10: Why is my 3rd monitor flickering since I changed my 2nd monitor?

My setup:

Windows 10 1909

Monitor 1: Asus ProArt PA 248Q (1920x1200)
Monitor 2: Asus ProArt PA 248Q (1920x1200)
Monitor 3: Samsung SyncMaster 226BW (1680x1050)

First off, let me say that I had no issues with this setup until Monitor 2 died of exhaustion and I replaced it with a brand new one (same model). That's when Monitor 3 started having the following symptoms:

When turned on (usually after the other monitors), it will flicker for at least 30 seconds before going full black and then settling into back to normal display. So the monitor DOES eventually stop this malfunctioning behavior. I just have to wait it thru...
This 3rd monitor is connected DVI to DVI, while the other 2 monitors are DisplayPort and HDMI.
I have 2 options to plug in DVI in my tower - I tried both ports with no improvement.
As I said, the issue started when I swapped out Monitor 2 for a new one of same model.

Any assistance would be great to resolve this initial flickering problem that wasn't there before.

recognizing 2nd and 3rd monitors

when I power off my machine does not recognize the 2nd & 3rd monitors.

 

2nd and 3rd monitors freezing

I'm on the latest Windows 10 version.

At random times (normally after leaving the computer in sleep mode) my 2nd and 3rd monitors freeze up, resulting in static images of what's there. I can still (somewhat) do things on them, but they mostly remain frozen. For example, I can make a fullscreen
application windowed (ctrl+shift+f) and vise versa. I can also move things from either one of the monitors to the 1st monitor, but I can't do this the other way around. When I move them, they still appear frozen on the 2nd or 3rd monitor whilst being dragged
to the 1st, and they stay there when being dragged from the 1st.

Turning off the 1st monitor (pretty much unplugging it due to the monitor) allows the others to function freely, but when I turn it back on, the problem restarts. This happens when unplugging the monitors as well.

I understand how annoying it can be when the monitors freezes at the middle of some work. Thanks for the information provided by you on the post.
To understand the issue better, we need some information.

• Did you observe any changes to the system recently, such as Updates to driver or Windows?
  
• What is the make and model of the PC?
  
• What is the make and model of the all the three monitors?
  
• How the other 2 monitors connected to the PC?
  

However, you can try the steps below and check if it works for you.

Device Drivers settings.

1. Press Windows + X key from the keyboard and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. Expand Display device. Right click on the device listed and select
   Update drivers
   
3. You will receive a prompt
   Search automatically for Updated driver.
   
4. Restart the PC and then check if the Monitor 2 & 3 freezes after sleep.
