Windows 10: "Why is my audio not working, and why is my speaker making an unwanted barring sound?"

My Dell XPS 13, once a beacon of productivity and a source of pleasant sounds, has transformed into a veritable sonic nightmare, a digital purgatory where the only sound is a relentless, high-pitched "brrrrrrrrr" that echoes through my very soul. Sound Bar Needed

That one has rear speakers also. I swear that bar alone sounded like it was all around me.

FYI I aint arguing. I'm just trying to educate myself. What would you suggest?

 

Audio sound not working on speakers/or headphones. No sound


Yesterday my audio worked fine on both my speakers on my laptop (Dell Inspiron/N5110) and headphones. Then all of a sudden they stopped working. I have made sure that all the volumes are not muted. I did a troubleshoot on playing audio and it said low audio device volume detected, but when I increase the volume, nothing happens. Any one have any suggestions?

We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest running the Troubleshooter and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

• Type and select Troubleshooting on the Search bar/Cortana.
• Click Hardware and Sound.
• Select Playing Audio under Sound.
• Follow the steps that will be provided.

If the steps does not work. We suggest downloading a fresh copy of the audio driver from Realtek and see if it helps.
