Windows 10: Why is my audio not working?

I recently built a new PC and the specs are a Ryzen 5 7600 and a RTX 3070. I downloaded all the drivers necessary and my audio won't work. The audio driver I downloaded was called RealTek audio 2.0. I plug in my headphones via the 3mm headphone jack and it recognizes that I have plugged something in but is calling them RealTek Audio 2.0. I tried everything I could think of to get the audio to work and it just is not. I have tested the headphones on other devices, it works, I have made sure the site is unmuted, I have turned my volume up and checked settings a bunch. Any help?

AUDIO SERVICE NOT WORKING.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you follow below.

Step 1:

In the search box on the taskbar, type device manager, then select it from the results.

Step 2:

Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.

Step 3:

Look for IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. If it's listed, right-click it and select Update Driver, then select Browse my computer for driver software > Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.

Step 4:

You’ll see a list of pre-installed drivers. Select High Definition Audio Device, and then select Next.

Step 5:

Restart PC

Can not record audio.

• Click View all.
• Select Recording Audio.
• Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
