Windows 10: Why is my C drive full?

    Why is my C drive full?


    My C drive is full and my PC keeps saying it is running out of storage space.


    Of the 119 GB on the drive, 78.7 are being used by Apps and Features.


    But the biggest programs in that folder are itunes 999mb, Mail and Calendar 961 MB, etc.


    The files listed in "Apps and Features" do not add up to anywhere near the 78.7 the computer claims they do.


    What is going on here? I've deleted temporary files and programs all over the place, but my computer insists it is almost full, and then provides no evidence of any programs taking up nearly that amount of space.

    I've already done your suggestions....... yep, need a bigger drive for C: suppose!

    Thank you for your response.



    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.


    • Press Windows +E,

    • Right click on C: drive.

    • Select Sharing Tab.

    • Click on Advanced Sharing.

    • Uncheck “Share this folder”.
