Windows 10: why is my computer camera getting darker?

ive noticed the past year that my computer camera has been getting darker and dark and its really starting to bother me, ive tried to change the brightness of my computer screen an saturation in settings but it comes off really ugly and i really want to find a solution as to why this is happening, can anyone help? my camera is HP Truevision HD camera, its built into the laptop. the bottom is how it used to be november 3 22 and the top is now with default settings on november 21 23 this is all under the same lighting as well in my room does anyone have a solution for this please

Screen gets darker shortly after startup

When my computer starts up after being shut down or restarted, shortly after the login screen appears the screen will suddenly get darker. I have tried the following to fix it already without success:

• I have updated my video card drivers.
• I have updated the monitor drivers and the software for my monitor.
• Through my monitor's software, I have turned off any automatic brightness adjusting features. (I've also done this through the options on the monitor itself.)
• I have turned off adaptive brightness for Windows.

This has been going on for many months, maybe even a year. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I am getting into a field where I will need to do color-sensitive work on this computer, so this needs to be fixed. Let me know any information you need
about the computer and monitor and I'll provide it.

This issue might occur if there is change in camera settings.

To assist you to better, please provided us the information below:

• How exactly have you tried to access the Camera of the computer? Have you access through default Camera app or other camera app?
• Have you made any changes to the computer prior to the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to refer to the suggestion in the Microsoft Help Article and also try updating Camera driver from the Device Manager.

Step 1: Try to refer to the suggestion provided in the Microsoft Help Article about Camera related issues.

Get help when Windows can't find the camera:

Step 2: First I recommend you to access the Camera through Camera app.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Then type "Camera" without the quotes in the search bar and click on it.

3. Check if you are able to access the camera.

Step 3: I suggest you to update the Webcam driver in the Device Manager and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on Enter Key.

3. Expand Imaging Devices.

4. Right click on the camera driver and click on Update Driver Software.
